Font - r/r/MaliciousCompliance Posted by u/Arizona Coyote 13 hours ago Just f alrighty then! S OC leave? Well So my ex wife used to pull the bull move of getting out of the car and walking whenever there was an argument, knowing my stupid would follow her and try to convince her to get back in so we could go home. One night she started an argument accusing me of "flirting with the waitress" who was the mother of one of my high school friends. Definitely wasn't on my radar of women to flirt with,

Font - So here I go, driving next to her, window down trying to coax her back in the car. Now on this particular evening, it was raining. And cold. And I had really just had enough of this stupid habit of hers. So I asked her twice to get in, and I told her I'd leave if she didn't. She said "Just f leave!! Go home!" So I did.

Font - Went home, cracked open a cold Pepsi, grabbed my new book, plopped my down in the recliner and started reading. 30 minutes later she flings the door open, looking like a drowned rat and extremely pissed. She starts yelling "WHERE DID YOU GO? WHY DIDN'T YOU COME BACK FOR ME???" I calmly said, "Well you told me to leave and go home, I just figured you needed some time to cool off!" Funny, you know she never got out of the car again for some reason

Font - Training_Ad_7585 +1. 13 hr. ago I had an ex who tried that once. I live in the northern half of the US. She decided to pick a fight right in the middle of driving to lunch date with our friends. Pulled the car over as she wanted out as she was over it. It was worst then a 5 year old having a tantrum so I left her on the side of the road and went and at lunch. 40 minutes later she finally shows up just pissed. Drove her home afterwards and thanked her helping me make a decision about our f

Font - KirasMom2022. 11 hr. ago I did that to my ex once. I was driving to a party and he started his nonsense (I don't even remember what the argument was about). He told me to stop the car, so I did. He got out, and I said "fine" and left him there. I went on to the party. He had to walk home (about a mile... straight up hill... LOL), get his car, and drive himself. He was sooooo pissed when he walked in, but he never said a word. I had a great time at the party.

Font - seismocity 13 hr. ago Been in this exact situation. It really does reveal the catch 22 significant others often put themselves in.

Font - ijjjijjjijjiiijjii · 12 hr. ago. edited 12 hr. ago I did this once. I was the one responding to red flags though. That was how I ended the relationship. Edit: clarifying, I stepped out of a car at a red light and left.

Font - nickhoude21 - 9 hr. ago I love this comment section. Every single comment where someone had a person do this to them it's their ex. So glad all of you got rid of that toxicity

Font - SoCalDama 10 hr. ago When I was first married, I did something similar to that and my husband called me out on it, and did something similar to what you did (but it wasn't raining, lol). I never did it again, and it helped me realize that I was acting pretty stupidly. Good on you.

Font - forest1000 12 hr. ago My soon to be ex used to tell me to go back to the cottage a few hours after I got back home for the weekend ( worked away) or would tell me she didn't want to be around me every so often. One day, she said this to me at the cottage, I looked at her and said "OK, we're done. I'll take you home after work." Never been happier.

Font - eojhcnip 11 hr. ago I had an ex. We would fight over dumb stuff. She would complain that I would never listen to her. So we are having a fight and she says I can't even stand the sight of you. You should just go. I walked to the door and before it was half way open...."oh, it's so easy for you to leave". Well..you told me to leave. We are still friends. She's just a bit crazy.

Font - Obsidian-Winter - 6 hr. ago My husband's ex (the one before me) used to "break up with him" all the time over little things. The final time she tried it, he replied with "ok then. Leave your key once you are done getting your stuff." Apparently, she wasn't expecting that response and was pissed that he didn't "fight for her".
